1. How is GreatLeague.com similar or different from MyLeague.com and Leaga.com?

GreatLeague.com is similar to the others in hosting user created and managed leagues, however it is different in many other ways. While the others allow ANYONE to create a league on their servers, GreatLeague.com requires one to apply to run a league. GreatLeague.com wants those who are serious about creating quality, successful leagues to host on GreatLeague.com. We aim to be the best of these sites and host the best leagues. While the others offer their services with little or no true support, GreatLeague.com offers great service and support to help leagues succeed. With the others you are on your own to succeed or fail, with us you have the support of the best support staff in this business.

2. Does it cost anything to make a league on GreatLeague.com?

It is free to create and run a league on our system. We will, however, offer added benefits and functionality for a small monthly fee for the GreatLeague Plus league enhancement service.

3. If I have a league on MyLeague or Leaga can I move it or create it on GreatLeague.com?

Yes you can, however we will not host inactive leagues. We have already seen a trend among some who run leagues on one of the other servers to create their league on GreatLeague.com thinking it marks off their gaming room on our system and prevents us from putting a GL League in their room otherwise. They can not be more wrong. Not only does our Terms of Use require inactive leagues to share if the rooms are needed for new leagues, we will also not block off rooms for inactive leagues.

4. If I move my league to GreatLeague.com, can I move player stats, bux, and premium memberships my new league on GreatLeague.com?

If you move your league to our system, you will be able to edit the stats of your members, and we will credit your staff with the number of tourneys they've completed in your league on the other server. We will also credit the bux they have on the other server. Premium memberships, however, can not be moved directly since they are not willingly giving those accounts to us. Your members can accomplish that by signing up premium membership with our site, and if needed for financial reasons, they can also cancel their premium membership on the other server.

5. Will my Tourney Directors have to complete the 10 Free tourneys on GreatLeague.com?

No staff in GreatLeague.com leagues, be it new leagues or leagues that moved from another server, will EVER have to complete those first ten tourneys. From the very first live tourney, a TD can charge GreatLeague Bux and offer TD donations to members. If TDs are well trained in training there should be no reason they can't charge bux and offer TD donations from the start. Unlike the other server, we do NOT limit the options of our new staff that way.

6. Can I customize tourney pages and my league site like I did on that other server?

Absolutely. We support equal if not better functionality on both. Tourney pages can be customized using the same "sigs" and pre-made tourney pages you used on that other server. Our standard league page is even MORE customizable than on that other server. While they disallowed you to customized the left menu and it's background graphic without using a re-direct to host one on your own site, we allow that on our leagues. We allow league sites to customized in many ways that is only possible on that other server if you pay them 49.95 a month for their "plus" league service.

7. Will members win lots of bux like on the other servers?

Yes and they will win even more. While that other site limits TD donations at 10,000 and entry fees in bux at 100, our system allows higher on both so your members can win a LOT more GreatLeague Bux than they could win bux on the other servers. Not only that, but our premium memberships pay more bux to members.

8. Do you offer premium membership like the other sites?

Absolutely and they are competitively priced and offer much better benefits. Our Memberships pay out more bux and have more benefits such as web space and REAL e-mail addresses on our GreatLeague.net server, not just a forwarding address like that other server offers. 9. Does your site stand by its rules and uphold its Terms of Use?

Absolutely, no lazy and self-serving doubletalk about the rules like you got from that other site. Where our terms of use says you can't knowingly recruit from other leagues and other leagues can't do that to you, it means what it says and we uphold it. Cheating and padding is not allowed on our system, we expect honest and credible practices in our leagues. No more of this "look the other way if it doesn't involve bux" response to dishonest practices in leagues. And we will NOT have senior support staff tell leagues that cheating is allowed.

10. How is your support staff different?

Night and day different. Their support staff only deals with issues reactively and after the fact, while our support staff will deal with issues pro-actively, by providing customer service as well as dispute resolution, and helping league admin constructively solve problems rather than only dealing with issues after the fact. While the other server fosters adversarial relationships between leagues, our support staff is focused on building cooperation, friendship, and community among our leagues. The main different is, on our system leagues will truly get support, which they truly do NOT get on that other server.
